About the Journal

VICORA (Visual Communication Research and Applications) is a scientific journal published by the Visual Communication Design Study Program, Universitas Dharma Indonesia.

The journal serves as a platform for the dissemination of research findings and scholarly works in the field of Visual Communication Design (VCD), as well as its applications in various social, cultural, and technological contexts.

The primary aim of VICORA is to provide a forum for the exchange of creative and scholarly ideas among academics, researchers, professionals in the creative industry, and students who are interested in the development of visual communication design as both a discipline and a professional practice.

Scope of Publication

The journal covers, but is not limited to, the following areas:

  • Visual communication design and new media

  • Branding, visual identity, and communication strategies

  • Illustration, typography, and photography

  • Advertising, interactive media, and creative technologies

  • Studies on visual culture and design aesthetics

  • Design innovation and applications in social and industrial contexts

All submitted manuscripts undergo a peer-review process using a double-blind review system to ensure academic quality, originality, and contribution to the field.

VICORA is published three times a year, in March, July, and November.

We invite researchers, educators, practitioners, and students to contribute scholarly articles that emphasize innovation, creativity, and relevance in the field of visual communication design.
