Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to Pilar Keadilan undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure academic quality and relevance.

Every submitted article is first examined by the Editorial Board through an initial review to assess its suitability with the journal’s scope and guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s criteria will be rejected at this stage without external review.

Manuscripts considered to have potential scholarly value are then forwarded to reviewers through a double-blind peer review process, in which both the authors’ and reviewers’ identities are concealed. Reviewers evaluate the manuscripts based on substantive quality and technical aspects.

After the review process, manuscripts are returned to the authors for revision if required. The entire review process takes a maximum of one month. Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor will make one of the following decisions: rejected, revision required, or accepted. The final decision regarding publication rests with the Editor-in-Chief.

Review Process Stages:

  1. Manuscript submission by the author

  2. Initial evaluation by the editor

  3. Double-blind peer review

  4. Editorial decision

  5. Notification of decision to the author
