Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

Tekno Medika: Medical Laboratory Technology applies a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, validity, and academic integrity of published articles.

Submission and Initial Screening

All submitted manuscripts are initially evaluated by the editorial office to ensure compliance with the journal’s scope, formatting guidelines, and ethical standards. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be rejected without external review.

Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript’s subject area. The identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed during the review process.

Reviewers assess manuscripts based on:

  • Originality and scientific contribution

  • Relevance to the journal’s focus and scope

  • Methodological rigor and data analysis

  • Clarity of presentation and structure

  • Validity of conclusions

Review Decision

Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the editor makes one of the following decisions:

  • Accept submission

  • Accept with minor revisions

  • Accept with major revisions

  • Reject submission

Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with reviewers’ comments and submit a detailed response to the review.

Final Decision

The editor evaluates the revised manuscript to ensure that reviewers’ concerns have been adequately addressed. The editor’s decision is final.

Confidentiality and Ethics

All manuscripts and related communications are treated as confidential. The journal follows the principles and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in handling the peer review process.
