Publication Ethics
Journal Teknologi Informasi, Manajerial dan Komunikasi is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Dharma Indonesia (UNDHI). This statement describes ethical standards for all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher. The journal adheres to the principles of publication ethics and malpractice prevention in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
1. Ethical Guidelines for Journal Publication
The publication of an article in this journal represents an essential contribution to the development of reliable and respected knowledge in the fields of Information Technology, Management, and Communication. All parties involved are expected to comply with ethical standards at every stage of the publication process.
2. Duties of Authors
Authors are required to:

Present original research and ensure that the manuscript has not been published or submitted elsewhere.

Properly acknowledge the work and ideas of others through accurate citation.

Ensure that all data presented in the manuscript are accurate and authentic.

Avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, and redundant publication.

Declare any potential conflicts of interest.

Ensure that all listed authors have made significant contributions to the research.

Be willing to cooperate in revisions, corrections, or retractions when necessary.
3. Duties of Editors
Editors are responsible for:

Making publication decisions based solely on the manuscript’s academic merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

Ensuring a fair, unbiased, and confidential review process.

Maintaining the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.

Preventing conflicts of interest in the editorial and review process.

Taking responsive measures when ethical complaints or misconduct are identified.
4. Duties of Reviewers
Reviewers are expected to:

Conduct objective, constructive, and timely reviews.

Maintain confidentiality of the manuscripts under review.

Identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.

Report any suspected ethical issues, including plagiarism or data manipulation.

Decline review requests if a conflict of interest exists.
5. Duties of the Publisher
The Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Dharma Indonesia (UNDHI), as the publisher, is committed to:

Supporting ethical publishing practices.

Ensuring editorial independence from commercial or institutional interests.

Assisting editors in handling ethical issues and misconduct cases.

Maintaining the integrity of the academic record.
6. Plagiarism Policy
All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using appropriate similarity detection tools. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or excessive similarity will be rejected or returned to authors for revision, in accordance with journal policy.
7. Handling of Misconduct
The journal will investigate allegations of research or publication misconduct following COPE guidelines. Actions may include manuscript rejection, correction, retraction, or notification to relevant institutions.
