AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Jurnal Ilmiah Teknologi dan Rekayasa Informatika (TRINET)

Jurnal Ilmiah Teknologi dan Rekayasa Informatika (TRINET) publishes original research articles, review papers, and case studies in the field of Information Technology and Informatics Engineering.

Authors are required to follow these guidelines to ensure smooth submission, review, and publication processes.

1. General Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be written in English.

  • The manuscript must be original and not previously published or under review elsewhere.

  • All submissions must be made through the journal’s Online Journal System (OJS).

  • Authors must comply with the journal’s Publication Ethics and Open Access Policy.

  • Similarity index (plagiarism check) should generally not exceed 20–25% (excluding references).

2. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be arranged in the following order:

2.1 Title

  • Clear, concise, and informative.

  • Maximum 15–20 words.

2.2 Author Information

  • Full name(s) (without academic titles)

  • Affiliation(s)

  • Email address of corresponding author

2.3 Abstract

  • 150–250 words

  • Written in one paragraph

  • Briefly describe background, objective, method, results, and conclusion

  • No citations

2.4 Keywords

  • 3–5 keywords

  • Separated by commas

2.5 Introduction

  • Background of the study

  • Problem statement

  • Research objectives

  • Related works (brief literature review)

2.6 Research Method

  • Research design

  • Data collection techniques

  • Tools, algorithms, or frameworks used

  • System design (if applicable)

2.7 Results and Discussion

  • Present research findings clearly

  • Include tables, figures, or diagrams where necessary

  • Compare results with previous studies

  • Provide analytical discussion

2.8 Conclusion

  • Summarize key findings

  • Highlight contributions

  • Suggest future work

2.9 Acknowledgment (Optional)

2.10 References

  • Minimum 15 references

  • At least 70% from reputable journals (last 5 years recommended)

  • Use reference management tools (Mendeley, Zotero, etc.)

3. Formatting Guidelines

  • Paper size: A4

  • Margins: 2.5 cm (all sides)

  • Font: Times New Roman

  • Font size: 12 pt

  • Line spacing: 1.5

  • Length: 8–15 pages

Tables and figures must:

  • Be numbered consecutively

  • Include captions

  • Be referenced in the text

4. Citation and Reference Style

TRINET uses:

APA Style (7th Edition)

Examples:

Journal Article:
Author, A. A. (Year). Title of article. Journal Name, Volume(Issue), pages. DOI

Conference Paper:
Author, A. A. (Year). Title of paper. In Proceedings Name (pp. xx–xx). Publisher.

All references cited in the text must appear in the reference list and vice versa.

5. Submission Process

  1. Register/Login to the journal OJS system.

  2. Submit manuscript in .doc or .docx format.

  3. Upload supplementary files (if required):

    • Author Ethical Statement

    • Copyright Agreement

  4. Confirm submission.

6. Peer Review Process

  • Initial screening by Editor

  • Plagiarism check

  • Double-blind peer review (minimum two reviewers)

  • Revision stage (if required)

  • Final decision

Estimated review time: 4–8 weeks.

7. Publication Fee (If Applicable)

(Choose based on policy)

Option A – No Fee:
TRINET does not charge submission or publication fees.

Option B – With APC:
An Article Processing Charge (APC) applies after acceptance. Details are available on the journal website.

8. Ethical Considerations

Authors must:

  • Avoid plagiarism and data fabrication

  • Disclose conflicts of interest

  • Ensure proper authorship attribution

  • Provide ethical clearance (if involving human subjects)

Violation of ethical standards may result in rejection or retraction.
