REVIEWER GUIDELINES

Jurnal Ilmiah Teknologi dan Rekayasa Informatika (TRINET) highly values the contribution of reviewers in maintaining the quality, credibility, and integrity of published research. Reviewers play a crucial role in the peer review process and are expected to adhere to high ethical and professional standards.

1. Role of Reviewers

Reviewers assist the Editorial Board in:

  • Evaluating the scientific quality of manuscripts

  • Assessing originality and contribution to the field

  • Identifying methodological strengths and weaknesses

  • Providing constructive feedback for improvement

  • Supporting editorial decisions

TRINET applies a double-blind peer review system.

2. Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to:

2.1 Confidentiality

Treat all manuscripts as confidential documents. Manuscripts must not be shared or discussed with others without editorial permission.

2.2 Objectivity

Provide fair, unbiased, and constructive evaluations supported by clear arguments.

2.3 Timeliness

Complete reviews within the agreed review period. If unable to meet the deadline, reviewers should inform the editor promptly.

2.4 Acknowledgment of Sources

Identify relevant published work not cited by the authors and report any substantial similarity to other works.

2.5 Conflict of Interest

Decline to review manuscripts in which there is any conflict of interest due to personal, financial, institutional, or collaborative relationships.

3. Review Criteria

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on:

  • Relevance to the journal’s scope

  • Originality and novelty

  • Significance of contribution

  • Research methodology

  • Data analysis and interpretation

  • Clarity of presentation

  • Quality of references

4. Review Recommendations

Reviewers are requested to provide one of the following recommendations:

  • Accept

  • Minor Revision

  • Major Revision

  • Reject

Detailed comments must be provided to justify the recommendation.

5. Ethical Standards

Reviewers must:

  • Not use unpublished material for personal research

  • Not retain copies of manuscripts after review completion

  • Report suspected ethical misconduct (plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate submission)

TRINET follows international publication ethics standards in handling ethical concerns.

6. Reviewer Recognition

TRINET may provide:

  • Certificate of reviewing

  • Acknowledgment in the journal (annual list of reviewers)

  • Reviewer performance record in OJS
