Plagiarism Policy

INSIDIA: Innovation and Digital Business Strategy is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing. All submitted manuscripts are carefully screened to ensure originality, proper attribution, and credibility of published content.

Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  • Copying text, ideas, data, or images from other works without proper citation.

  • Substantial similarity to previously published work without acknowledgment.

  • Self-plagiarism, including reuse of an author’s own previously published work without appropriate citation or justification.

  • Fabrication or falsification of data.

Screening and Acceptable Similarity

  • All manuscripts are checked using plagiarism detection software before the peer-review process.

  • The acceptable similarity index is ≤20%, excluding references, quotes, and bibliographies.

  • Manuscripts exceeding this threshold may be returned for revision or rejected outright.

Actions in Cases of Plagiarism

If plagiarism is detected at any stage:

  • The manuscript may be rejected before publication.

  • Authors may be asked to provide clarification or revise the manuscript.

  • Published articles found to contain plagiarism may be retracted, with a notice issued.

  • The authors’ affiliated institutions may be notified if necessary.

Ethical Compliance

The journal follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines in handling plagiarism and other forms of publication misconduct.
